Jodie Small, an attorney and former staff writer for several newspapers, has been involved with secondary school and college admissions in various capacities for many years. She began College Coordinators after completing her role as a college interviewer and supervisor of interviewers for one of the most selective colleges in the country. Her enjoyment interacting with students during college interviews sparked an interest in further assisting students through the admission process, which can often be stressful for students and families. She is eager to share her knowledge and experience to help minimize the pressure associated with navigating the college and secondary school admission process. Her background in journalism, creative writing and persuasive legal writing will provide an advantage to students by helping them express their individuality and highlight their most desirable qualities to selected colleges. Ms. Small will work closely with students and their families, devoting the necessary time and attention to creating an individualized plan. The primary objective: to match the student’s interests, talents, strengths and goals with colleges where the student will thrive.
Jodie Small is an Ivy League graduate and an attorney. She is also a Professional member of the Independent Educational Consultants Association, which provides the most up-to-date college-related information available and offers a global resource for its members. Ms. Small has also coached basketball and lacrosse at the youth and middle school levels and has been a Junior Achievement instructor and religious school teacher for several years. She loves working with students and founded College Coordinators with the hope of continuing to help young people get off to the best start possible toward a successful future.
